Accessibility
An underlying principle of Tim Berners-Lee (accredited with inventing the Internet) was that it should be accessible by all, whichever device is being used. Unfortunately commercial competition has resulted in numerous programming languages and web browser standards. Fortunately standards are now being set which, when adhered to, mean web sites can be viewed on many different devices
WebElementary pride ourselves in producing websites that are accessible by all users, whatever their disability, wherever they are and whichever Internet enabled device they are using. Our sites meet with the strict coding guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium and are rigorously checked against various accessibility standards.
Legally websites must comply with UK disability access legislation and we endeavour to make sure all our sites meet these regualtions. Failure to have a site which can be demonstrated as complying renders the site owners liable to prosecution under part 3 of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
